Private journeys since 2016
Morocco, unhurried and entirely yours
Private journeys through the imperial cities, the High Atlas and the dunes beyond Merzouga – designed one traveller at a time, led by guides who were born on the routes they walk.

Who we are
A small studio, deliberately
We are seven people in an office off Rue Dar el Bacha. Between us we have driven, walked and argued about every route on this website, and we turn down more work than we take because the alternative is doing it badly.
What that buys you is specific: the guide who meets you in Fes is someone we have worked with for nine years, the camp at Erg Chigaga is held for your group alone, and the person who plans your journey is the person who answers the phone at eleven at night when a flight is cancelled.
Signature routes
Three journeys to begin with
Each one is a starting point rather than a fixed product. Most travellers change something, and we would think less of a journey that nobody wanted to adjust.
Marrakech
Imperial Cities & the Sahara
The journey most people picture when they imagine Morocco, slowed down until it becomes something else entirely. Two imperial cities, a cedar forest, a gorge, and three nights where the road simply ends.
9 days / 8 nights · 2-8 travellers · From 4,850 EUR per person
Berber villages
High Atlas & Desert Edge
For travellers who would rather walk than shop. Three days in the High Atlas staying with families in the Ait Bouguemez, then down the southern slope to a stretch of desert almost nobody visits.
7 days / 6 nights · 2-6 travellers · From 3,650 EUR per person
Essaouira
Coast & Medina
Morocco at sea level. Three nights in Essaouira where the wind never stops and nothing is in a hurry, two in Marrakech, and an argan cooperative in between. The journey we send people on when they want to come back rested.
6 days / 5 nights · 2-8 travellers · From 2,980 EUR per person
Where we work
Five places we know properly
We do not cover the whole country. These are the regions where we have the relationships, the drivers and the opinions to be useful.
The red city
Marrakech
A thousand years of trade, compressed into a walled city you can cross on foot.
Erg Chebbi & Erg Chigaga
The Sahara
Two dune fields, two entirely different experiences of the same desert.
The oldest medina
Fes
Nine thousand lanes, a ninth-century university, and craft that never industrialised.
Mountains & valleys
High Atlas
Terraced valleys, 4,000-metre peaks, and villages running on rules older than the state.
The Atlantic coast
Essaouira
Whitewash, wind and a fishing port that still sets the rhythm of the town.
How it works
How a journey gets built
A conversation
Thirty minutes on a call, or a long email if you prefer. We ask what you want to avoid as much as what you want to see.
A route, not a quote
You get a day-by-day outline with the reasoning behind it. Change anything. Most people change at least three things.
Everything held
We book the rooms we have inspected, the guides we know by name, and the camps on a private-use basis.
Someone on the ground
A local contact reachable at any hour, and a driver who has done the route more times than he can count.
The one thing everyone remembers
A bed carried out onto the sand
Every camp we work with will do this, and almost nobody asks. After dinner the team carries a bed out past the lantern line, far enough that the camp disappears behind a dune, and leaves you there until morning.
Between October and April the sky over Erg Chigaga is as clear as anywhere you will sleep. People talk about it for years. It costs nothing and it is the first thing we suggest.

What travellers say
Layout placeholder. These slots are reserved for real client words – send us the quotes you have permission to publish and they go straight in, names and journeys included.

Things worth knowing first
Planning
When to visit Morocco, region by region
The country spans ocean, mountain and desert, and the right month for one is the wrong month for another.
Desert
How to choose a desert camp
The gap between the best and worst camps in the Sahara is wider than in any other category of accommodation in Morocco.
Craft
Buying craft in the medina without getting it wrong
What is actually made by hand, what it should cost, and how to tell the difference before you commit.
Start a conversation
Tell us what you want from Morocco
Every journey we arrange begins with a conversation rather than a brochure. Tell us when you can travel, how you like to move, and what you would rather avoid – we will come back with a route, not a quote.
