Programme

DAY 1: OUARZAZATE – DRAA VALLEY – TAMEGROUTE – M'HAMID – ERG CHEGAGA

08:00 AM: Departure from your hotel in Ouarzazate, beginning the journey to the towering dunes of Erg Chegaga, the largest dunes in Morocco.
En Route: Travel through the breathtaking Draa Valley, home to millions of date palms and hundreds of ancient kasbahs.
Lunch: Arrive at M’Hamid, where the paved road ends and the desert begins. Enjoy a rustic lunch in a local kasbah.
Afternoon: Embark on a camel ride to explore the majestic dunes of Erg Chegaga. Witness a mesmerizing sunset over the desert landscape.
Evening: Return to the desert camp for a delicious dinner around the campfire under the stars.
Overnight: Spend the night in traditional desert tents under the vast Sahara sky.

DAY 2: ERG CHEGAGA – LAKE IRIQUI – TAZNAKHT – OUARZAZATE

Early Morning: Wake up to the spectacular sunrise over the dunes, followed by a traditional desert breakfast.
Departure: Start your return journey to Ouarzazate, taking a scenic 7-hour drive via Lake Iriqui, a dry salt lake surrounded by stark desert landscapes.
Lunch: Stop at the village of Taznakht for a lunch break. Optional visit to a women’s cooperative where traditional Berber carpets are handwoven.
Afternoon: Continue the journey through the rocky desert landscapes, arriving at Ouarzazate around 5:00 PM.
