Programme

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN OUARZAZATE

Arrive at Ouarzazate airport and transfer to your hotel or riad.
Enjoy a delicious dinner and relax for the night, preparing for the desert adventure ahead.

DAY 2: OUARZAZATE – DRAA VALLEY – TAMEGROUTE – M’HAMID

Morning: Explore Ouarzazate, visiting the famous Kasbah of Taourirt and the Cinema Museum, which showcases the region’s rich film history.
Afternoon: Depart for the desert, crossing the stunning Draa Valley, known for its vast date palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Stop at Kasbah Tamegroute to visit the historic Koranic library and pottery workshops.
Arrive in M’Hamid, the last village before the desert, and enjoy a traditional dinner and overnight stay at a local Kasbah.

DAY 3: M’HAMID – DESERT EXPLORATION

After breakfast, embark on a morning excursion along the Draa River, exploring seven fortified kasbahs, where you can interact with locals and enjoy a refreshing cup of traditional tea.
Return to the Kasbah for lunch, and relax in the afternoon by the swimming pool.
Enjoy dinner and spend another peaceful night at the Kasbah.

DAY 4: M’HAMID – SACRED OASIS – ERG CHEGAGA DUNES

Morning: Visit the local kasbahs and palm groves of M’Hamid before heading deeper into the desert.
Stop at the Sacred Oasis for lunch and a chance to meet nomadic tribes living in the desert. Continue the journey, crossing diverse desert landscapes to reach the towering dunes of Erg Chegaga.
Upon arrival, witness the breathtaking desert sunset, followed by a delicious dinner served under the stars around the campfire. Overnight in traditional desert tents.

DAY 5: ERG CHEGAGA – DESERT CAMEL RIDE

After breakfast, embark on a camel ride through the vast dunes, immersing yourself in the peaceful desert surroundings.
Stop to visit nomads and enjoy a traditional tea break, then enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the desert.
Return to the camp in the afternoon for dinner and another overnight stay under the stars.

DAY 6: ERG CHEGAGA – OUARZAZATE

Wake up early to witness a spectacular sunrise over the dunes, followed by a traditional breakfast.
Begin the return journey to Ouarzazate, passing through Lake Iriqui and Foum Zguid, and enjoy panoramic views of the rocky desert landscapes.
Stop for lunch at the Berber village of Taznakht, where you can visit a women’s cooperative and see traditional carpet weaving.
Arrive back in Ouarzazate by late afternoon, where you will enjoy a relaxing dinner and overnight stay.
